Man I love my life!!!!

It's amazing at how many talents a person can develop through the years. It's so much fun having many talents and I just continue to want to learn more. Lately I've been getting into photography. I have fallen in love!!! Pretty sure of it! Basically it is because of the Woodside Swing group. They are having a big event of swing with workshops all day and then a live band dance in October that they wanted me to create a poster for. Well I don't have a very good camera so I decided to get one from the library. Since I work in A/V Productions department in the Master Control section, I get to check out their camera's for as long as I need it! I don't have to have a teachers note or anything! WONDERFUL!
So I checked out their one of their nice sony cameras and found that I was pretty good! Here are a "few" shots I have taken since then:

MEET DENNIS!!! He was my lover over the 7 week break =)

As you can tell I've had a little bit of fun! :) I hope to keep it up. I don't think it will be to hard though.

Family Reunion, Colorado, and then Some.....

The past few weeks of my life have been absolute chaos! Here is what has happened. About a month ago, my family had a giant family reunion for anyone related to my great grandparents Will and Ethel Burt. We had an AMAZING turnout! If I remember right, we had about 97 people show up! It was a lot of fun! My brother's blue grass band came and performed at it and people were able to just congregate, talk, and catch up with each other.

I got to spend most of the time walking Samantha around and keeping her happy.

When she got sick of me, grandma got her. What a princess.

The day after the reunion, my mom, dad, Eliza, and I were off to Colorado. We stopped in Little America Wyoming and stayed the night there. The next day we went to Colorado. We stayed in Colorado for 2 days and 3 nights which consisted of lots of shopping! Definitely my favorite part! After we were done in Colorado we headed to South Dakota so we could stop in Sturgis and see all the motorcyclists pull into town for the big biker rally thing. It's definitely a big deal for bikers. I've never seen so many bikes in my life! Definitely a one time experience for me. Now that I can say I've seen it, I am ok with never seeing it again lol. We didn't just see Sturgis though. We were able to go see the Crazy Horse monument and Mount Rushmore. They were both way cool! That area was beautiful! On our way home went to Little Bighorn where Custer's last stand was. It was quite the cool experience! I would recommend going if you ever get the chance.

These were all the bikes parked in front of our hotel. This was just the hotel! You can imagine how many more bikes were at Sturgis!
Welcome sign going into Sturgis

Crazy Horse Monument

You guessed it! Mount Rushmore!

Little Bighorn!

It had just rained so there was a pretty rainbow over Little Bighorn.

It was a long trip and I was glad to be home, but it was so worth it!

I love being an aunt! When we got back from our trip, Heidi and Samantha came to spend the week with us! Samantha is so dang cute! She is getting the hang of animal noises. Here is a video of me asking her what certain animals say.

She is also really good at talking on the phone, especially when it's her daddy. She was talking on the phone to her dad and she hardly let him get in a word. It was so dang cute!

Samantha loves her grandpa! Especially when he takes her to see the cows!

So Many Blessings

Since today is the first of the month, I thought I would take just a minute and recap on all of the blessings I have received this past month. I really truly have been blessed this past month. I had many trials through the month of February with trying to find a new job and being able to come up with not only enough money to pay my rent, but also being able to come up with enough money to pay for groceries and other living expenses. There were many times through out this month where I was really discouraged and just didn't have any idea of how on earth I was going to be able to have enough money for everything. Those are the times that brought me even closer to my Savior. Even though those times were truly hard, I am grateful I was able to experience those tough times. I am still trying to figure everything out, but I can truly testify that everything works out the way its suppose to. My parents have this saying by President Hinkley on their wall in their bedroom and I love it so much I put it on my own wall.

"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. ... if we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers."
                                                    -President Gordon B. Hinkley
This quote has honestly gotten me through this past month. I would look at that quote every morning and tell myself how everything is going to be ok. I never found a new job, but thats ok. I am blessed to have the job I do. It might not be the best job in the world, but it is a job. I made it through this month and I was able to have just enough to pay off the rest of my rent for this month. I am grateful for my job. If I didn't have it, I wouldn't have been able to pay it off. Everything does work the way it is supposed to. I found that when I am going through a hard time it is important to cleave to your Savior and cleave on to your family. God will not forsake us. He will never put us through any trial that we cannot handle. He knows us and He loves us. Because He loves us, He gives us trials so that we may practice using our agency and grow and become closer to him. I am grateful for my trials. They have made me who I truly am. I am also grateful for the wonderful family I have been blessed with. They have helped me get through these hard times. Even if it was just letting me raid  their food storage, it was more help to me than they will ever know. They are my inspiration and I know that they love me by the way they support me. I couldn't ask for a better family.

This is my amazing family!

These are my awesome parents. They are truly amazing examples to me.

These are my siblings. I absolutely love them!

Recent Events

I haven't written in awhile so I thought I would get off my duff and finally update my blog. So lately I have been looking for a job like I mentioned in my last blog. I actually have an interview this Tuesday with Wells Fargo! I am way excited, but super nervous at the same time. It is a group interview and they told me to plan on at LEAST two hours! CRAZY! I am way nervous! It will all work out though if it is supposed to.

Swing team has been pretty fun. We pretty much have both of our routines down. We have our first performance on Wednesday! We are doing our routine to a song by Count Basie and Duke Ellington called "Jumping at the Woodside." It is a very hard routine but it is also a ton of fun! It should be good. We are performing in Sugar City. I'm excited.

Here are just a few pictures from recent events:

This was taken the day my niece Ethne was blessed.

These are just a couple of my roommates. I absolutely love them! We get along GREAT!

This is Kate. We went door to door of the Sunrise apartments getting ingredients to cookies. As you can tell we got a little distracted. lol

Life Lately

So my life has been this: Go job hunting, eat, job hunting some more, eat some more, SLEEP. Pretty boring if you ask me. It is good other than that though.
I am currently off track, but am still living in Rexburg. I moved to college ave. in an old house. I LOVE IT!!!! Other than the fact that the internet doesn't work most the time and the fact that the window in the bathroom leaks whenever someone upstairs takes a shower, it's AWESOME!!!!! I guess the reason why I love these apartments so much is the people that live here and the wonderful ward it is in. I absolutely love the ward! You become friends with most everyone in the ward and you can definitely tell that bishopric loves you. That is very important to me in a ward.
So today I just found a job at the Rexburg Opinion Center! I was soooo happy!!!! That was such an answer to a prayer for me. I will still be looking for a new job but I'm definitely grateful for what I have been given.
Its like this quote I read the other day: "Sucess is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" - Winston Churchill. SO TRUE!
Well that is me in a nut shell for now. Hope you are all well!
